King Hassan II conferred the order of the Commander of the Ouissam Alaouite upon Marcel Franco, president of the American Friends of the Alliance Israelite Universelle and vice-president of the Central Committee of the Alliance.
The honor was conferred on Mr. Franco on behalf of the King by M. Filaly, director of the Royal Cabinet at a dinner honoring Mr. Franco given by Driss Benouna, Director General of Protocol.
Among the guests at the dinner were Education Minister Ben Abbes; Driss Douiri, Minister of Economy; Abdelkader Benjelloun, Minister of Labor and Ambassador Bonsal of the United States.
