Almost 10,000 university degrees were awarded in Israel during the 1975-76 academic year, according to official statistics published this week. Some 7000 of them were first degrees (bachelor and parallel degrees), 1350 masters, 270 medical doctor, about 300 doctors of philosophy in various fields and some 1000 teaching diplomas of academic rank.
