Alter Epstein, veteran Yiddish journalist and author, and a member of the staff of the Day-Morning Journal since The Day made its appearance in 1914, died yesterday, aged 79. Born in Russia, he came to this country in 1908. He wrote two books of fiction, some of which was dramatized on the Yiddish stage.
