Israel Ambassador Abba Eban today met Henry Morgenthau, Henry Montor, Julian Venetsky, Rudolf Sonneborn and other leaders of the Israel Bond drive who had offered their resignation. The Ambassador later said:
“I am more confident than ever that the Government of Israel will succeed in its objective of retaining the valuable leadership which has won such great successes for the bond drive and for Israel.”
