More than 1,000 leaders of the Washington community, senior Government officials and ambassadors of many, countries attended the Ambassador’s Ball here in honor of Israel Ambassador and Mrs. Avraham Harman.
The honorary committee for the ball was headed by United States Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas and included Vice President Richard M. Nixon, members of the Cabinet and Congress and Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt. The ball marked the celebration of Washington Jewry’s participation in the Israel bond drive.
