Disposal of surplus American property in Palestine, Egypt, Iraq and other Middle Eastern areas will be facilitated by an interim agreement concluded between the State Department and the British Government, according to an announcement today by Thomas B. McCabe, Army-Navy Liquidation Commissioner.

The catalogue of items for sale is in process of compilation. While no sales have been reported as yet, it is expected that thousands of items, from bolts and nuts to clothing, vehicles and small amounts of food, will be available for purchase. The agreeement provides that sales be made for local currency, with the understanding that the money be used by this government for meeting any expenses incurred in the areas under question.
