American Drug Firm Will Expand Trade with Israel; Ignores Arab Threat

The Winthrop Drug Corporation, an American firm, is going to expand its trade activities in Israel, despite pressures from the Arab League’s boycott office to halt trade activities in this country, it was announced here today the Israeli agents of the corporation.

Rumors had been circulated that Winthrop intended to yield to Arab pressure and pull out of Israel, after the corporation had canceled another agent’s franchise here. The rumors arose from the change and do not reflect the American firm’s policy, the new agent declared.
