The U.S. State Department has received a reply from the American Ambassador in Mexico, in response to its telegraphed instructions to him (reported in the J.T.A. Bulletin of the 9th. inst.) to investigate the reports of ill-treatment of Jews in Mexico, with a view to determining whether any American citizens are involved.

The State Department has handed a copy of the reply to the President of the Order B’nai B’rith, which asked the State Department to intervene. The contents have not been divulged, however.
