The American Israeli Paper Mills, Ltd.. of Tel Aviv, showed a substantial increase in earnings for the quarter of this year ending June 30 compared to the corresponding period last year. It was reported here today. Sales for the quarter totalled $4,206,730 this year, compared to $3,030,682 in the second quarter of 1967. The latter year’s figures were converted at the then existing exchange rate of $1 to three Israel pounds. The 1968 figures were converted at the current rate of $1 to three-and-a-half Israel pounds. Net Income after provision for deferred taxes during the April-June, 1968 quarter was $350,707.
