The “American Israelite,” published here, the oldest Anglo-Jewish weekly on this continent, celebrated its 76th anniversary with the issue of Friday, July 11. Dr. Isaac M. Wise, founder of Reform Judaism in America and of the Hebrew Union College, established the “Israelite” July 15, 1854.
