The American Jewish Congress today addressed an appeal to Secretary of State Dean Acheson urging United States support of Israel’s claim for $1,500,000,000 reparations from Germany.

The appeal, signed by Rabbi Irving Miller, president of the organization, said that American support of the claim “will greatly strengthen the moral leadership which our country is giving in uniting the free nations of the world on behalf of human justice and decency.”
