Dr. Bernhard Kahn, the European Director of the Joint Distribution Committee, is leaving on Saturday, the 17th. inst. on board the “Bremen” for New York, in order to discuss with the leaders of the Joint Distribution Committee of America the dangerous situation of the Jewish masses of the European countries, which is now becoming so critical that all Jewish organisations and all Jewish work in these countries seem unable to go on.

He hardly doubted, Dr. Bernhard Kahn said to-day to the J.T.A. here, that American Jewry, although it is itself suffering seriously from the economic distress, will come to the rescue of those who are in an even worse plight.
