American Red Mogen Dovid Sending Five Ambulances to Israel

The Women’s Division of the American Red Mogen Dovid announced today it was sending five ambulances and a bloodmobile to Israel in response to a cabled plea from the Magen David Adom in Israel. Each ambulance costs $5,000 and each bloodmobile $12,000.

Mrs. Ruby Kronfeld, president of the women’s division, read to 1,000 members at a luncheon, the cable from Mrs. Vera Weizmann, president of the Israel Magen David Adom. Mrs. Samuel Schneider, luncheon chairman, announced that individual members had contributed five ambulances and that the division as a whole would send the bloodmobile. Mrs. Weizmann had appealed for 50 ambulances and five bloodmobiles.
