American Steel Company Forms Partnership with Israeli Firm

Republic Steel Corporation, one of the largest steel manufacturers in the United States, has entered a partnership agreement with the United Saran Plastic Corporation of Israel, to make metal products in this country, it was announced last night by Pinhas Sapir, Minister of Finance who holds also the portfolio of Commerce and Industry.

Under the pact, he said, Republic will help finance the manufacture and will also provide know-how and planning and designing of various steel products to be made here. The Israeli firm, under the agreement, will also receive marketing rights in East Africa, Turkey, Iran and any other country with which bilateral agreements may be reached.
