More than 80 American Jewish tourists attended a public Seder at the Barcelona Synagogue here Friday night, the first such public service in the modern history of Spain.
The tourists were passengers on the S. S. Independence on a Mediterranean tour, who were invited by the congregation. The invitation was extended while the passengers were on the high seas between Venice and Messina. Following the Seder, the Americans returned to their ship the next morning to continue the cruise.
