Among the gifts announced at the annual Charter Day of the University of California, held this week, were several from members of the local Jewish Community. They included $1,500 from Mrs. Sideny M. Ehrman for crippled children at the medical school; $1,500 from Mrs. E. S. Heller for the Heller. Committee work and the emergency committee in aid of displaced German scholars, and $1,000 toward the salary of Dr. Carl Landauer.
