At an exposition of the Illustrated Jewish Book in Amsterdam there was a rare example of an illustrated Hagadah. This work was forerly in the possession of the mother of the poet Heinrich Heine. It was written in 1723 by Juda Leb ben Benjamin Wolf Broda, who also wrote a circumcision-booklet, which is being exhibited at the exposition. This Hagadah was written by Lazarus van Gelderen, great-grandfather of Heine, and is still in the possession of descendants of the poet.
