An American Jewish leader is insisting his name be removed from an open letter critical of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Neal Sher, the former executive director of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the pro-Israel lobby in the United States, said he was unaware that the letter would be so critical of Israeli policy.
