An anonymous donor has given one million pounds sterling to Israel. The money is earmarked for Israeli social welfare institutions, with particular emphasis on facilities for the handicapped. The only condition set by the donor was that no details be divulged about his or her identity. The check for this huge gift was handed over Thursday to Israeli Ambassador Gideon Rafael at the embassy here with Rafael thanking the donor on Israel’s Behalf.
