An eastern Jerusalem resident was sentenced to 19 years in prison for conspiring to murder two Israeli soldiers. Malek Bahkirat, a teacher, was also found guilty Tuesday of planning to murder a Palestinian he suspected of collaborating with Israel. Neither of the plots were carried out.
