An Egyptian group is suing the spiritual leader of Israel’s fervently Orthodox Shas Party in a Cairo court. The Society for the Defense of Arabs charged Rabbi Ovadia Yosef with slandering Arabs when he said in a Passover sermon that God should annihilate Arabs. Yosef said at the time that he had been misquoted and had only been referring to Arab terrorists.
