An Iranian leader denied that he called for Israel to be destroyed by nuclear weapons. Former President Ali Hashemi Rafsanjani said his comments were taken out of context. Israel has called on the United Nations to condemn Rafsanjani’s remarks in a Dec. 14 speech.
