An Iraqi defector provided the first evidence since the U.N. weapons inspection team left Irap in December 1998 that Saddam Hussein is continuing to develop his chemical weapons program. The defector told the London Sunday Times this week that his unit had delivered warheads to a secret launch site, where they were loaded with chemicals before being returned to their hiding place near Baghdad.
