An Israeli chief rabbi joined efforts to recover abducted soldier Gilad Shalit. Israel’s chief Sephardi rabbi, Shlomo Amar, said Tuesday that he had appealed to a very senior official in the Arab world to help secure the release of Shalit, who was abducted to the Gaza Strip last week.
