An Israeli court extended the detention of an aide to West Bank militia leader Marwan Barghouti until the end of legal proceedings. Nasser Naji Abu-Hamid has been charged with involvement in the terrorist killings of seven Israelis, Israel Radio reported. Like Barghouti and other Fatah movement militants on trial in Israel, Abu-Hamid said he does not recognize the court’s authority to try him.
