An Israeli court extended the imprisonment of Palestinian militia leader Marwan Barghouti until the end of legal proceedings against him. As Barghouti’s trial resumed Thursday, a disturbance erupted in the court when border police escorting Barghouti prevented him from raising his handcuffed hands in the air and pulled him out of the room, Israel Radio reported. Barghouti is charged with involvement in the murder of dozens of Israelis in terrorist attacks.
