An Israeli court found a Haifa University professor guilty of slandering a fellow Israeli academic. The court ordered Steven Plaut last Friday to pay $17,000 plus expenses and legal fees. Plaut, a business professor known for his hawkish views, had called Neve Gordon of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev a “Judenrat wannabe” and “fanatic anti-Semite.”
