An Israeli court placed a $16 million lien on tax money Israel owes the Palestinian Authority. The move follows a request from the family of Israeli soldier Vadim Norjitz. Norjitz and another soldier, Yossi Avrahami, were lynched in October 2000 by a mob in a Palestinian police station in the West Bank city of Ramallah. The Israeli government has frozen some $400 million owed to the P.A. for customs duties levied on Palestinian imports.
