An Israeli police officer was dismissed for using an anti-Arab term on a bulletin. The police dispatcher sent out an internal beeper message last Friday advising fellow officers that 15,000 “Arabushim,” a derogatory term, had assembled for an Islamic Movement rally in the Israeli Arab town of Umm el-Fahm.
