An Israeli priest who recently organized a visit to Auschwitz by a group of French and Israeli Muslims received the UNESCO Education for Peace Prize. At a ceremony in Paris on Monday, Emile Shoufani, director of the Saint Joseph Greek Catholic College in Nazareth, Israel, was honored for working “over many decades to bring together Jews, Muslims and Christians,” a statement from UNESCO said.
