An Israeli prison parole board met for five hours Wednesday to consider nuclear spy Mordechai Vanunu’s request for early release. Vanunu has served two-thirds of an 18-year term for treason for giving photographs of Israel’s Dimona nuclear facility to the Sunday Times of London in 1986. Vanunu’s attorney, Avigdor Feldman, and Justice Ministry representative Nili Arad appeared before the parole board, which is scheduled to meet against next month.
