An Israeli rabbis’ group and its American counterpart are criticizing what they call the Israeli government’s attempts to intimidate them. The statement by Rabbis for Human Rights, which also criticizes the Israeli government’s alleged attempts to intimidate other human rights activists, comes after what they say was a recent interrogation of the group’s executive director, Rabbi Arik Ascherman, by Israel’s Shin Bet security service.
