An Israeli soldier was killed and four others wounded in a training exercise in the Jordan Valley. An initial army inquiry into the accident revealed that Monday’s explosion occurred when one of the soldiers accidentally detonated a mine. The incident came in the wake of another fatal training accident in the area in May.
