An Israeli was killed when Palestinian gunmen opened fire as he was driving past an Arab village close to Jerusalem. Prime Minister Ehud Barak, who said Israeli-Palestinian peace talks should continue despite the ambush, vowed to catch and punish those responsible for the “despicable murder.”
