An olive tree from Jerusalem was planted in Rome to commemorate the “Jewish brigade” that helped fight the fascist regime in Italy during World War II. The tree was planted near Rome’s Venice Piazza last Friday. April 25 is celebrated in Italy as Liberation Day.
