An olive tree from Jerusalem was planted in Italy to honor an Italian police chief who saved Jews during the Holocaust. The tree, planted this week in the courtyard of Italy’s most senior police training facility, honors Giovanni Palatucci, who eventually died in the Nazi concentration camp at Dachau.
