An Orthodox rabbinic group took a stand on a controversial circumcision practice. The Rabbinical Council of America, the rabbinic arm of centrist Orthodoxy, recommended against the ancient practice of metzitzah b’peh, in which the mohel places his mouth directly on the wound.
