Archaeologists of the Israel Government Department of Antiquities have unearthed an “exceptionally fine” ancient cave tomb near the King David Hotel here, it was announced today. The tomb is believed to be the “Monument of Herodes,” erected by King Herod for members of his family, and mentioned by Josephus, the ancient Jewish historian.
