At the monthly meeting of the Council of the Anglo-Jewish Association on Sunday, April 29, it was decided to accept the invitation by the Zionist Organization to appoint two representatives of the Association to sit with the representatives of the Zionist Organization on a joint committee for the purpose of considering what steps could be taken with a view to broadening the basis of the present Jewish Agency referred to in Article 4 of the Palestine Mandate.

The motion was made by J. Prag who proposed that the President of the Association, Mr. d’Avigdor Goldamid, and Sir Robert Waley Cohen should be nominated as the delegates of the Association.

The President supported the resolution, indicating the political significance of the matter and expressing his conviction that all members of the Anglo-Jewish Association would agree that it was highly desirable to participate in the restoration of Palestine.
