The allegation that the “Socialist Government” naturalized East European Jews on a large scale is entirely untrue.

As regards the naturalization of East European Jews in Germany, the following official reply given by the Prussian Mnister of the INterior in 1930 to a question in the Prussian Diet may be quoted:

“In accordance with the resolution of thr Prussian Diet of April 8th, 1927, aliens from Eastern Europe not of German antecedents are as a rule naturalized only afere having lived in Germany for at least ten years. No such residential qualification is required in teh case of aliens who are of German antecedents. Since 1919 107,559 alliens have become naturalized in Prussia, of whom 96,864 were of German antecedents, and only 7,654 were aliens form the East not of German antecedents.”

Even if 90 per cent of these 7,654 naturalized people were Jews, only 6,900 East European Jews would have been naturalized in Prussia during eleven years, or just over 600 a year, inhabitants of Prussia.

The official Conti Press Bureau stated (after Hitler’s accession to power) the number of East European Jews who were naturalized in the German Reich since the War at 12,500, making less than 1,000 a year, compared with 65,000,000 inhabitants. These 12,500 Jews had lived for ten or more year in Germany, their children being educated in German schools.

Thus, (1) No millios of East European Jews passed through Germany sine teh war, but only 150-160,000 (50% of all migrants); (2) No hundreds of thousands of East European jews nundated Germany, but the highest number ever living in Germany did not exceed 99,000. At the time of Hitler seizing th power the number had already decreased to about 76,000; (3) The number of East European Jews naturalized in Germany since the War does not exceed 12,500.
