Diplomatic experts here today expressed increased belief in the connection between Soviet anti-Semitism and Soviet fear of losing her command in Europe and Asia, “It is a standard Red technique to resort to purges whenever a scapegoat is needed to take the people’s minds off internal troubles, ” one of them stated.

A.U.S. note to Poland yesterday said that the accusations and charges which have been levelled against Christians and Jews “are characteristic of men hysterically fearful that they will lose the absolute power which has corrupted them.”
