Two Jews were killed, and at least four wounded, when a crazed anti-Semitic Ukrainian opened fire with a shotgun aimed into the dining room of the Uptown Hown for the Jewish Aged here ruthlessly cutting down the aged men at breakfast. Police who surrounded his home within a few minutes after he opened fire cut the man down with at least five bullets. He is in critical condition at a hospital near the Home.

According to police, he mumbled after he had been shot, that he wanted to kill the Communists in the Jewish institution.” Police said the man was discharged last April from the mental ward of Philadelphia General Hospital, and that the records show he was once arrested on a charge of threatening the life of the President of the United States.
