An attempt by a body of anti-Semitic students to institute anti-Jewish excesses here was frustrated by the intervention of the police.

Anti-Semitic students broke up a theatre performance arranged by the Jewish Students Association, Kadimah. Twenty-one of the anti-Semitic students were arrested. When they were searched, it was found that one of them carried a bomb.

The event caused a feeling of panic among the Jewish population here.
