An anti-Semitic note in the Franco-American controversy on the debt question was injected by the newspaper “Oeuvre.”

Commenting today on Clemenceau’s letter to President Coolidge, the paper states:,

“The American financial policy concerning France is directed by a dirty, base, Jewish German oligarchy.”
