The Arab publication Al-Bayan reports that the Institute for Arabic Studies is being incorporated with the Institute of Asiatic Studies in New York, under the assistant directorship of Prof. Ismail Khalidi, a brother of the secretary of the Palestine Arab Higher Committee. The Institute of Asiatic Studies already includes departments for Iran, India and China.
