The political committee of the Arab League, which has been meeting here, is unable to reach a decision on whether it will boycott the proceedings of the U.N. inquiry committee on Palestine, it was learned today. It is understood that the members of the League are split, with Iraq and Egypt attempting to head off a boycott.
A report from Jerusalem states that regardless of the League’s decision, the Palestine Arab Higher Committee is determined to stay away from the proceedings of the U.N. body. It was also reported from Palestine that Husni Barazi, former Premier of Syria, has denounced the present Syrian Government’s anti-Jewish position.
