Serious rioting broke out here today at the funeral of three of the five Arab brigands slain in a clash yesterday with police in the Gilboa Hills.

A mob of thousands of Arabs launched a wild attack upon policemen assigned to guard the funeral, wounding many, two of them, Constables Ringe and James, seriously. The mob then attacked the Central Police Station smashing all windows and wrecking three police cars. Later it rushed police stationed at the railway depot, smashed the windows of a Jewish glass factory, and quietly dispersed.

Meanwhile British policemen exclusively were being used in a country-wide search for the remainder of the gang which is believed to have murdered the Jewish police sergeant Moshe Rosenfeld.

The police are also hunting for a second band of brigands composed of Arab youths. According to the Arab press this gang has already been trapped.
