An appeal for funds to aid Polish children was published in the Times yesterday over the signatures of the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Dutchess of Atholl, Noel Buxton and Lord Marley.
The appeal points out that in recent years the organization “Save the Children Fund” has been collaborating with the ORT and OSE, Jewish retraining and health organizations, for the relief of refugee children.
“We therefore appeal,” the letter states, “on behalf of the increased work which these two societies must now shoulder, for the most generous cooperation of the British public.”
