Denying charges of having taught Communist ideology, the directors of eleven Jewish schools today petitioned Congress to reopen the schools which had been closed by the police a week ago.
All but three of 22 arrested teachers of the institutions have been freed. Seven of the closed schools are in Buenos Aires, the others in suburban areas. Following last week’s raids, the police announced no action would be taken against 47 other Jewish schools.
