A cornerstone for a building carrying the name of Gen. Jose de San Martin was laid at the Weizmann Institute of Science at Rehovoth, in memory of the Argentine hero. The building, to be erected with funds contributed by Argentine Jewry, will serve as a home for visiting South American scientists. The ceremony was presided over by Joseph Sprinzak, Speaker of the Knesset, and the principal speakers included Argentine Minister to Israel, Pablo Manguel; Joseph Mirelman, who represented Argentine Jewry; and Israel Minister to Argentina, Yaakov Tzur.
